Too real

please help my tears go away,
go away for just this day,

finding light through the worst of skies,
wishing on stars that cannot shine.

holding on to that last real glow,
finding my way through the poisoness flow,

what is left...what is real,
is the pain that seems too numb to feel.

praying vulnerably on my knees,
to something i seem not to believe,

my heart my soul seem to be,
the only light i can truley see.

a river of sorrow blurrs my sight,
my sight of the horrors that come tonight.

why shall i cry why shall i deal,
when all it leads to is something too real.

too real to face too real to fight,
please wipe my tears to get through this night
